Mine appears to not be doing anything again after resetting it and putting new batteries like ninja suggested. Exactly like last time I got one notification while in the woods tricking me into thinking it worked and now nothing. I got 8 pictures sent and I know there were 16 on the camera when I left. This thing is a total POS and the time wasted in this thing is becoming more than a mere annoyance.
Just a heads up y'all but over on Archery Talk there is a thread about people having problems with the Covert mobile systems. Also there have been problems with the Spartan cameras so I guess the technology isn't seamless yet.
Haven't heard anything "officially" but I'm wondering if there is a bug in the Version 1.3 modem firmware that is locking up the modems on the 2x a day upload. This would drain batteries.
@Moultrie_Ninjaneer I am still having issues with the twice a day transmissions. Friday (Sept 9) recieved only recieved the transmission from 10:15 PM on the 8th of Sept and didn't get another transmission until 10:15 AM on Saturday ... Nothing for the 10:15 PM Sept 9th Transmission (Modem still said last connect 9/8 @ 10:15 AM ... Saturday was a good day - got my 10:15 AM and 10:15PM pics ... Sunday back to only getting the morning transmission.
As I mentioned before ... batteries are fine, modem is connected, camera is fine, battiers in camera are fine ... was down at the spot on Saturday and did a test - everything came back great on the indicators and I got my pics Saturday night, and got my time lapse pics Sunday morning.
Sunday night - no pics.
So something seems a bit wonky with the twice a day setting. Seems to work, then not work, and work again. Hopefully you all can sort this out, as I would hate to go to immediate and travel 3 hours to my location to change batteries every few weeks.
I am hoping they fix something,so far just a waste of gas money, battery money and data Money,,I have put no less than six sets of batteries since june..modem says batteries at zero percent right now,Been that way a week got tired of going to it to change or push button,at least the camera takes pics..not very good night ones though..
I'm going to return my modem and get another on the off chance I have a bad one. I'm probably wasting my time doing that but it seems to work for some people.
After this last go around, I went to the property swapped batteries on my second modem and switched it to immediate upload. Been smooth sailing since. Data plans seem to be running In stride as well. I'm definitely gonna look into solar power though. Rough guess is I'll get a month out of batteries on each modem. I can surely live with that during the season.
For you folks thinking about a solar panel check out Moultrie's 12v battery box. I went with the battery box cause I run my camera in the woods with inconsistent sunlight.
After some issues with missed check-ins and such (have always received at least one transmission a day - set for two) now everything seems to be working correctly. Check ins at 10:15 AM and PM are working and there seems to be no more issues with my modem (always been between 80% and 100% signal strength). Batteries are lasting forever with only 2 check ins per day too. Hoping things stay this way for the rest of the season.
After I stop receiving uploads on Aug 28th I went and picked up the server on Sept 1st. After trying for 4-5 hours to get it to work it finally just started sending pictures again and I have no idea what I did. I went back to my club and set it up Saturday and it worked until Monday morning so I will make another trip back and pick it up again. I hope it get better soon.
Sometimes I'll get a text that says I have 4 new images. And I'll go to my app and check and only have like 2. And I always have 100% signal. It's done that a couple times.

I got 5 pictures last night from Monday night so the modem must be working. Why am I running 2 days behind?
It is set for immediate.
The signal probably wasn't good enough at the time of upload and it failed.
It shows at 81% signal strength on the last upload. It should be 3-4 bars at anytime.
Yeah if its that good it should have. I had some get drug in on the next upload with a newer picture.
